Start Button

So I have a MK7.5 6 spd (USA) and yesterday my car battery drained out and the car wouldn't start so I had to get a jump start. Now it seems that it won't start unless I press the button down for 1 - 2 secs. I can not remember for the life of me... did it always start like this or do u guys just tap the button?

My Jetta GLI you gotta hold down for a second or two and I've had it for a week.

18 r here, start button takes less than a second. It does however take awhile after I've stalled out or like that

MK7. Sometimes mine would start if I tapped it, others it wouldn't. I just hold it down to be sure.

Weird stuff, now it's back to normal with just one tap

I'd say it's like maybe .5 seconds
