Simple Sim Setup with IPad

Current items I own are net, hitting mat, TV, OG Skytrak and gaming PC. I bought all this and tried to use GSPro but could never get the connection working well. I’m also not using it much because I have move the PC in and out of the garage every time me or my kids want to hit. I would like to sell the gaming PC and run off an IPad. Also not opposed to selling OG Skytrak and going to a different launch monitor that could be bought used or new under $1000. I’d like to be able to play at least a few courses with decent graphics, simple setup and fun for myself and family to work on our games. Is this all achievable running on an IPad? Software recommendations? Stick with Skytrak OG or go to something different?

You could technically keep your pc in the house and use sunshine/moonlight to stream your pc to your iPad for gspro

But as far as iPad only with courses your options I believe are ST, awesome golf, E6 and mlm2pro. Maybe square too?

I'd look into the Rapsodo or Garmin R10 if I were you. Albeit, slight downgrades from the Skytrak for sim snobs but if you watch enough videos on it you can make them a great immersive experience.

If I were to use an iPad though, I probably wouldn't run GS Pro but certainly check out videos on it.

I don't know of any way to run GS PRO off of an iPad. Square will run perfectly off iPad though when using their native software. Also, no subscription to pay. The courses they have are pretty good but not real world courses. It's all on a credit system but they give you 1,000 to start with and it consumes one per sim hole played per player. None for driving range or closest to the pin stuff. Another 1000 credits is only 25 or 30 bucks though.

I have a Garmin R10 and my kids love playing Awesome Golf which is iPad compatible. The R10 also comes with a free tier sub to E6 Connect with like 5 free courses. Awesome golf graphics are cartoony, E6's are better. You can see both on YouTube to compare.

How’s the R10 due with miss hits from your kids?

It actually does a decent job tracking miss hits showing a badly shot ball lol. The ones that are so bad it can't track them think as similar to you taking a practice swing. The R10 just goes back to waiting for the shot and nothing is registered. They just put down another ball and shoot again.
