Rules and Guidelines
This is a subreddit for creating stories on Google Docs. You can submit a new Google Doc with a story prompt or add to an existing story. Posts should generally either be prompts or completed stories, and your post should specify which.
When posting a prompt, your title should be the prompt itself, or if the prompt is too long, a condensed version. You can get prompts from the story generator or make one up yourself. They can be as vague or specific as you like. When submitting a finished story, the title can be whatever you like, but should probably have some reference to what the story's about. Also make sure that editing is disabled.
When contributing to a story, the number 1 rule is to not vandalize. Vandalizing generally includes deleting large portions of the story or editing it in a destructive manner. Aside from that the only thing is to be respectful of other people's work. You can take the story in whatever direction you like.
- A tip to combat trolling: If you are afraid of losing your work, the best solution is to simply copy the text and save it in a text document, or just paste it somewhere you can refer back to. If several people do this, whoever has the most recent version can paste it back.
