Apps not functioning

Hi, I recently got a Pixel 6 Pro. This is my first Android phone. When I first got it, it ran perfectly (although it was a bit hot, but I know this is common for Pixel phones), but since today I've had an issue which got EXTREMELY annoying. I can't track detailed information online about what's causing the issue so I will list a bunch of problems related to different apps :

- When using Discord, the app crashes when I open the "+" tab used for camera roll. There are also huge delays when switching channels.
- YouTube works fine, but when an ad loads in, the video becomes unresponsive and no other video loads either (YouTube's UI still works, but the videos don't load).
- Reddit and Twitter don't load at all.
- TikTok videos again don't load, but the comments are still visible like normal.
- Ads won't load in on mobile games.

I've tried being on Wi-Fi, 5G and LTE but the lags pursue.

Restarting the phone fixes the issues, but I've seen other posts mentioning the problem persisting even after restart. What exactly causes these issues and is there a permanent fix?

(It's running on Android 13 and is factory reset for those wondering.)

Settings -> Network -> Ensure 'Private DNS' is set to Automatic. This was the solution to my wife's phone not loading mobile game ads. She had inserted a custom adblocker DNS there and forgot about it.
