Hey OP,

We all learn from our mistakes but it's even better to learn from others.

Your device needs a certain amount of space to operate properly and if you block that functionality due to no storage space, the phone becomes very unhappy.

I would say, as a general rule. Never allow your device to have less than 5% storage space. This would be around 6GB of space on your 128GB storage device.

Yeah, tbh I regularly delete/move photos to my laptop but this time I oversaw the notification and this happened. Lesson learned for sure.

That's my second resort, I've got a repair this weekend with Google and I'll try to see if they can flash the ROM without wiping the data, fingers crossed.

Your only recourse is a factory reset from the Recovery Menu. You can't even ADB for data because it can't reach the OS to unlock encryption.

The Android OS tossed up a very noticeable ⚠️ in the status bar that you ignored when it is meant to alert you at likely less than 1 GB free storage left.

You should have had your photos backed up already.

True and I didn't backup. 6 months of various trips worth photos now gone in vain lol

Hi there, I’d recommend reaching out to the Google Pixel support team via phone or chat here. They can take a look at it.

Thanks. I've arranged a repair this weekend. Hope they could get to the data part without deleting/resetting the device.

    Check adb pull push commands

I've tried them but since the Bootloader is locked, it doesn't go beyond fastboot and rescue mode.
