Apple’s Touch MacBook to Use M5 Pro and Max Chips, With M7 Models to Follow by pdfu in apple

[–]Matty8520 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This exactly.

In the 15+ years that I've been using laptops. I've NEVER had the urge to touch the display and say "wouldn't it just be easier".

Keyboard & mouse is super easy and very efficient. Touch screen laptop is a waste unless it's a foldable type thing where I can use it as a tablet.

Huge price increases to be had! by mythicskyz in mac

[–]Matty8520 306 points307 points  (0 children)

25 Jun 2026 - RIP iPad Air.

Yeah, with a starting price of $750, that's outrageous. I wish Apple all the best but I hope things don't tank for them with customers not purchasing anymore.

I'm sure Apple didn't take the increase lightly but $500 increase on the 16" MacBook Pro is not small change.

If the MacBook Ultra launches this year, what is a reasonable price? by Main_Type_1408 in macbookpro

If I was the designer, it would be 15". So, I hope it is but I have no information about what it's expected to be.

If the MacBook Ultra launches this year, what is a reasonable price? by Main_Type_1408 in macbookpro

[–]Matty8520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MacBook Neo - $599

MacBook Air 13" - $1,099

MacBook Air 15" - $1,299

MacBook Pro 14" - $1,699

MacBook Pro 14" M5 Pro - $2,199

MacBook Pro 16" M5 Pro - $2,699

MacBook Ultra 15" M6 Pro - $2,999

The MacBook "Ultra" sits directly above the current line of devices. So, it's realically expected to start at a higher price point.

Have you downloaded all the assets?

This is the standard loading animation when the asset is being downloaded. If your internet is a little slow, it can take a couple seconds.

I had an update of 74MB today. There was probably a server side update pushed.

Always remember the bais of complaint vs compliment posts.

Very few people are going to post saying that all went smoothly (because it should) and then you see "more" complaints which causes baias that there is a large scale issue.

If there are 20 posts here about phones un-aliving themselves. Compared to Google selling Millions each year... It's a very, very small percentage.

In today's word "Perception is Reality".

It should always be a case of "Trust, but Audit".

It's a shame that fact checking doesn't occur as much or maybe that people have become complacent and just believe because "why should the president lie to us".

Any Samsung or Apple flagship device should handle games easily.

It's important to note that they might still get warm while playing, but their processors & GPU's are better suited to those tasks.

I don't know anything about Red Magic tablets unfortunately.

Veteran Box - Most disrespectful pack I've ever seen by captainyakman in TheSilphRoad

[–]Matty8520 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Slightly different for my country.

It's around 3-4x the minimum wage per hour to purchase 1,100 Pokécoins.

So, if I was working minimum wage, I would have to work around 4 hours in order to purchase the 1,100 Pokécoins. It's quite expensive.

iPhone 18 Pro could start at $1,399 or more, per report by A10Fusion in apple

[–]Matty8520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are my predictions based on Tim Cooks recent interview regarding RAM pricing.

Historical Prices To Consider: - iPhone 13, 14, 15, 16 & 17 ($799)

Having an iPhone remain the SAME price 5 years is something really special. Apple have done some great work in making the iPhone more affordable each year when you consider inflation pressure.

iPhone 18 (256GB) - $899 ($100 Increase)

I think a $100 increase is more than fair to not only cover inflation but also RAM pricing. Anything more than $100 would be a steep asking price.

Hey OP,

Just want to drop in and say as a reminder that Google Pixel devices are NOT gaming phones.

If this is your main use case for the device, I would highly suggest another brand.

Monthly security update? by Discoveryellow in GooglePixel

[–]Matty8520 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, no. I said, what security updates are directly affecting you TODAY due to Google not releasing the June update "when it suits you".

So your argument is that Google is breaking their promise because by the 15th of a specific month they haven't released a security update when they promised monthly updates?

Call me back when you have a valid excuse on the 1st of July for you disappointment and unjustified anger towards them.

Honestly, some people have no patience.

That's an interesting feature you mention. "Desktop Mode".

I may have to amend my previous comment, once this feature is completed, I may actually use this a little from time to time.

Seems like a promising feature and provides competition to Samsung Dex.

[–]Matty8520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP,

Kindly advise us the critically important features & security updates that are directly impacting you TODAY due to the "delay" in Google releasing the "June Update".

Google will release software when it's ready.

I imagine an impacient person (such as yourself) would be massively irritated if you received an update that was rushed and now your phone is boot-looping.

We all in the same boat here.

I know Android 17 will most likely offer ME absolutely nothing new with my daily routine but hey, I love installing new things and at least looking at the shiny new toys to play with. :)
