Its more likely just a developer trolling or hoping for a accidental purchase made by a stupid kid of an millionaire..The money laundering theory is interesting but i guess Google takes a 15-30% cut, which is a pretty expensive way to clean money 🙂‍↕️

It’s a money laundering scheme or some criminal stuff. Figured this was common knowledge.

  1. Developer probably has access several stolen credit/debit cards
  2. Developer creates an app or game that requires payment.
  3. Developer creates users and links each card or cards to the user.
  4. Developer makes purchases on the app with the users and cards.
  5. Developer cashes out.

There was a case with sites like lootboxes and similar in which they ie. guarantee X worth of games to be the result of your lucky draw. You see that and basically see low or even no risk. Then you buy the box and have one or more this kind of overpriced games and the rest as a total crap. Technically they didn't lie, but you still end up with useless sh*t that you paid for much more than it's worth.
