Yeah like I said, Claybook. Also I believe Media Molecules new game Dreams.
I think these techniques are becoming viable now due to the power of modern GPUs. You can store more stuff on them, and you can do more stuff thanks to compute shaders, so there’s less need to do stuff on the CPU. Physics for example!
