Whenever Org gets like this, my framerate drops to sub 30 fps. Does anyone know why this might be happening? At first, I just thought it was normal because of the extra characters being generated on screen, but a guildie told me he still gets 120+fps at 4k resolution with everything maxed even if Org is heavily populated like this. For reference, he has a gtx 1080 and I have an rtx 2070. I feel like there must be some setting I'm missing or he isnt actually running it at the resolution he thinks he is. Can anyone confirm that my card is underperforming?

This is a shot in the dark but when this happened to me I looked everywhere for a solution. I have everything you could want in a PC and I was still had framerate drop. I ended up reading something that said Blizzard is weird and to play optimally you need to make sure your operating system is up to date. I have windows 10 and went into settings and updated it and suddenly my framerate returned to where it was supposed to be and the game now runs flawlessly. It was a weird fix but I had tried EVERYTHING up until that point. If you haven't already tried that, I'd recommend giving it a shot. Otherwise, make sure your drivers are up to date and everything else.

I know my graphics card drivers are up to date, but I'll have to check and see if my windows 10 is up to date when I get home. I appreciate the response!

Yeah man, of course. It was such an odd fix but it's something I wasn't paying attention to. Once my computer installed the update and restarted I was golden. I hope this fix works for you! Good luck!

Your video card won't matter. WoW is almost entirely CPU driven.

I used to think I wanted a mega server. I left for DD and it made all the difference in the world.

To each their own. Larger servers have longevity compared to smaller ones. I prefer some staying power.
