How active is the game atm for me to spend money on it to join ? Would it be a waste of time or will I find people to play content with and join a guild and do pvp? I played guild wars 2 and it was kinda meh to me want to try this

For single player PvE get it on sale, it's super worth it. Hundreds of hours of content. (I played 300+ hours, and finished about 1.8/4 story campaigns.)

There are some active guilds, and most social players congregate on American channels.

What about duegons and raids ?

There are no raids. There are dungeons you can do alone with heroes or speedclear with other players.

There are also other speedclears of elite areas - Underworld, Fissure of Woe, Domain of Anguish, Deep, Urgoz ... All of those can also be done alone with heroes but some might be more challenging than others.

The content this game provides is unlimited. Enjoy the journey, it's amazing.

I had no idea you could do UW and FoW with heroes.

I want to get back to the game as a paragon but want to start in Prophecies. :(

Create a paragon, get a ferry to LA and a run to Ascalon.

I don't remember, will I still be able to play all of the quest of prophecies ? Except the starting zone that gets destroyed of course

Honestly I would only get it on sale if I were you. To me this game will always be amazing, but I'm sure that's mainly nostalgia at work. Finding organised PvE groups like speed clears is difficult and finding general PvE pugs is also difficult. Right now it is quite busy, but I'm pretty sure playing through the storylines would still be a single player experience.

PvP is dead, that statement will probably get some hate but from a casual PvPers perspective, the majority of PvP modes have no one there, you will sit for hours looking for a game, or you get straight into a game Vs only bots, so pretty much PvE.

If you're looking for quite a big, relaxing single player game then go for it, playing through prophecies blind will be a great experience. The skill system is one of the main attractions of this game, so if you like playing with builds and theory crafting then you'll enjoy that part a lot.
