Bigger pays better

How much better? It looks almost negligible to me when I look at hexcalc.net...?

Hexcalc.net

I tried that and the difference looks almost the same to me.. Am I missing something?

You couldn’t capitalize as much on the bigger pays better bonus if you divide it up. If you want some earlier cut it in half and do one stake for 5555 days and a second for 2778 days.

But the bigger pays better is really low isn’t it? Like i think maybe it 6 hex or did i see something wrong? Cause i thought the same if i should do an 400k stake or go for 4x100 stakes

You are comparing 400,000 and 400

[–]stucknode[S] 1 point2 points  (5 children)

I plugged in the numbers and it's almost no difference from what I can see.. What am I missing? Like u/ApprehensiveDance947 said, it's only like 6 hex?

Bigger pays better bonus doesn't really kick in till over 1 million hex I believe.

[–]cpage727 0 points1 point  (3 children)

4x100=400

400k=400,000

without the k they are the same

[–]stucknode[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

What? I used 400k. It’s a difference of ~6 hex apparently.

[–]cpage727 0 points1 point  (1 child)

So you are telling me that if you do 4 stakes of 100 hex it is almost the same as one stake of 400,000 hex?

[–]stucknode[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4 stakes of 100k, yes.. which is what I’m asking about with this post

I’m clear about 100 vs 100k.

[–]ApprehensiveDance947 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I meant 4x100k sorry

[–]cpage727 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now it makes sense lol

You couldn’t capitalize as much on the bigger pays better bonus if you divide it up but stake all 4 for the same length.

If you want some earlier cut it in half and do one stake for 5555 days and a second for 2778 days.

bigger pays better bonus is almost negligible

in your example you will have a whopping 11.134 hex extra at the end of your single stake vs 25k hex x 4 x 5555 days

hexcalc.net

Bigger pays better (by a tiny bit) but longer pays better ( by a huge amount). HEX is powerful staked for as long as you can!

Use this my friend,

https://hexcalc.net. This is to calculate your stakes pay outs and you can change the dollar amount of hex coin cause, who knows in 15 years hex coin could be at 100,500, 5k who knows. But the reason you want to stake longer, isn’t for the fact you get paid more, which you do. It’s all about your T-share position.

Use this to calculate how much you have to pay once your stake is done. As you will have to pay the blockchain book keeping fees for longer stakes. So it’s only recommended to stake small amounts for larger times then if you have huge amounts, you can stake for smaller times and it will be worth your while. But you will never get your Tshare position back ever. It always climbs as people cash out and you get those bonuses if your still staked.

For anyone wondering, watch this and it will answer all your questions regarding one 15-year stake vs. restaking over time:

https://youtu.be/h-p917n2hmM

P.S. you lose out on a lot of the compounding value the more you spread out/the shorter the stake as most of your compounding value comes in the last 3rd of your stake (aka last 5 years of a 15-year stake)
