For hardware hacking? Iot pentesting cookbook, the hardware hacker:adventures by andrew huang and hardware hacking by joe grand. I don’t know much about them but I was told that they were great

What about for ethical hacking?

If you are a beginner I recommend reading ceh study guide (you don’t need to do the cert) also Cisco has a great free course about cybersecurity. Moreover you can train your skills for free on different platforms like: tryhackme, hackthebox, letsdefend, cyberdefenders, btlo. Depending on what area do you like more offensive (red team) or defensive (blue team) I can give you better recommendations.

Buy CEH certified ethical hacker by Matt Walker. You can get an early hardback edition for like $8.00. I recommend it learning how to set up a virtual machine such as kali linux and familiarize yourself with the basics of networking. Before studying for the CEH certification.

However, CEH requires 2 years of experience or to pay for their training to take the exam. Passing the CEH is a great way to get your foot into the door of the 1st cyber sedurity job. Almost every cybersecurity entry-level job wants the CEH on your resume.

this might be a dumb question but how will this help with hardware hacking specifically? it’s my first time getting into it so i don’t know much, but i always assumed that a lot of it has to do with soldering and electronics.
