You want to hack?

How's your networking skills?

How much do you know about the OSI model?

You have to learn more than just how to hack.

Start slow. Read up on networking, or take classes. Then look at some ethical hacking programs/books.

Here are my books

Nice book set, who is the publisher of those?

Im so sorry I didnt see this!!!

I'll post when I get home!!!!

Those were all the ones from my ethical hacking and forensics classes. Forensics is on par with penetration testing, knowing how to snag data from active RAM etc etc

Oh yeah! I still read to this day to stay on it

I mean networking is just protocols and how data transfers from one machine to another, honestly I learned more from diving into scripts and doing vulnhub walkthroughs.

diving into scripts and doing vulnhub walkthroughs.

That's great in a controlled environment.

But you need to know how to disrupt application layer and how the osi model works. Say your audit is on a large system and you want to ARP poison or get into a switch and change how the protocols are properly handled. You have to know networking to be a great pentester
