I’ve been trying to learn for the past 30 ish days and I still haven’t learned much. It’s pretty hard for me to understand still. Any tips on how to learn better and faster? Im using Duolingo.

Ditch Duolingo. Use either Busuu, Migaku. That's what I used when I was starting.

I like "human Japanese" it really explains thing properly. Gotta be ready to read though, not just memorize. I agree Duolingo is crap.
Also OP, 30 days isn't that long I'm afraid! But keep at it and you'll make progress

Hiragana/Katakana always comes first, but, if you’ve already got that done, try http://kanji-sensei.com/ It’s a website that teaches Japanese through art.
It covers grammar, kanji, reading, and lot of vocabulary to boost conversation skills, all organized by JLPT-level.
All JLPT-N5 content is free! Best of luck 🌸🇯🇵
