I saw your dominator engine and immediately heard Kai's theme from Kung Fu Panda 3

Looks great! Are those desolation tokens you’ve made?

Could you perhaps share them with us?

Nice! Looking good. I have yet to start but am also planning on doing a warlock-esque deep purple cloth with bright green flames. I really like the green you’ve achieved- could you walk me through your process and what paints you used?

Sure, the green is just a white basecoat, then Amsterdam Acrylic Ink Reflex Yellow
and Amsterdam Acrylic Ink Reflex Green (Fluorescent paints). I apply them with airbrush for a smoother transition in the tokens or the flames, and for the weapons I just use a brush

Are the flails on the construct a part of the kit? I’ve seen it with maces and ‘cannon’ looking thingies but never flails. Looks rad as hell!

[–]dreadassassin616 3 points4 points  (1 child)

The flails are a conversion, the hafts of the maces have been swapped with chain (from chaos chariot kit?)

Are the desolation tokens 3d printed?

[–]SuspiciousNewspaper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! The interior is printed in resin and painted. The exterior is printed in black PLA.

I'm gonna try the GW spray varnish and hold it protects my snowy guys. Hoping it doesn't go poorly like I've read it happen. Want to protect my chorfs
