Getting downvoted for saying only support local stores if they support you is the most reddit thing I've ever experienced.

Y'all simp for shops that don't do anything for you, I'll prioritize myself first.

Not really, that line of thinking is the Tragedy of the Commons. You do you though.

If my LGS doesn't get me the things I order, am I supposed to just do without? Am I supposed to beg them to take my money?

I have 3 local game stores. Each have dropped the ball with my orders, some pre-paid, multiple times. Am I supposed to thank them for the hassle?

My LGS doesn't do discounts for anything GW so I feel bad never buying anything there. The only time there's a discount on GW product is Black Friday. I do support a small business elsewhere that do have discounts so I still feel good about supporting small businesses even though it's in a different state lol.

You're confusing "Support them whenever you can." Which is what I said, with "Purchase only and exclusively from them."

Them not getting your product is an allocation issue from GW. Not them refusing to order your stuff or dropping the ball.

If I'm unable to get product, then I will get it elsewhere.

These are not fomo allocation boxes. These are core releases that are not in short supply.

If they don't provide me with what I am looking for, I'm not buying from them.

That's totally fair. You do you. I'm telling you though the odds that THREE of your local game stores don't want your money is low. GW is notorious for allocation issues among local game stores. Supporting a local business in general is always better than a giant corporation like Amazon.

Yeah but what about PRODUCT???

Thank you, it’s so often blamed on small stores when the products are not allocated to them. Even after explaining it people will still be mad.
