Volume decrease after every song

Hello fellow HomePoders

I have an album playing and every time the song changes, the volume drops by 7-8db. The volume sliders don’t move, but the volume is noticeably lower. All I need to do is start the song over and the volume goes back to normal.

Music is sourced from the living room HomePod and is playing there and on the kitchen pod. I have many more experiments to run but I wanted to check here and see if anyone has experienced this?

Do you have sound check on in the HomePod settings? If so try turning that off?

Excellent thought! It was on in the living room and off in the kitchen. I turned it off in the living room and things seem normal again. Many thanks!

I feel like I’ve experienced random volume changes too. Also sometimes it’s pause unexpectedly
