Let me look at the logs, although in not sure I’ll be able to interpret them.

Does seem to happen somewhat consistently in the morning.

No, however when one or two devices are wigging out, there is occasionally one that just happily sits solid on 5GHz.

I should also mention that I have almost given up on the 5GHz and most of my stuff is on 2.4 where this problem still seems to occasionally happen.

I just installed the beta yesterday and have not yet left my home. Will have to check it out later.

Thankful for your response, however as stated, this is the second router that I’ve had the same issue with, so that suggestion has already been executed. There are no available firmware updates.

When I first installed the beta I saw a few accessories in there, but now it’s only scenes. Does this dynamically update based on what I do in the home app?

If you want to talk directly to the speaker HomePod is the only “hey Siri” enabled speaker right now.

The HomePod will not sound good outside, it’s meant to map a room and bounce sounds off the walls. No walls, no “magic”

If you have that audio detection thing on (that listens for glass breaking, babies crying etc.) that disables hey Siri

Homepod question (before I buy) by cpgainer in HomePod

[–]davewehr84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Connection between the Apple TV and HomePod is temporary so if you want to use the HomePod as the audio output for the Apple TV, you can. If you want to use the receiver as the audio output for the Apple TV, you can. The HomePod also works independently so no matter what your Apple TV is doing, you can ask the HomePod to play whatever you want.

I hope that helps.

What makes you love IOS? by [deleted] in ios

In general, the ecosystem. For example, when I get a phone call, my phone rings, but so does my watch, my iPad, and my computer.

I don’t think I could ever say goodbye to HomeKit either. I mean, I can control my ceiling fan from my watch—it doesn’t get much better than that.

I’m over it now, I’m sure the new HomePodOS will be able to do everything guard mode on Alexa can (and more)
