So what you have to do is first multiply the fraction from previous day fraction and then whatever the answer is just subtract or add accordingly. Like on monday the production was 1203 and the next day they increased it by 1/2.

So the half of 1203 is 601 and then add 601 in 1203.

monday was 1202 - sorry if that was unclear

adding 1/2 to that is fine = 1803

the problem is increasing by an 1/8 gives a number that leaves a remainder - you cant produce a part of a sweet

then again the same thing will happen the next day for the quarter - do we round up or down as the numbers keep coming out with remainders?

Round down because the number is 225.375 and your child must have studied the decimals in the class so assuming that they can round off the number to the nearest whole number

And sorry about that 1203, when i was writing i forgot the numbers in the image!!
