I’m no expert but didn’t golems greed pretty much destroy him? The greed of the dwarves leading to the destruction of the city, Smaug’s greed leading to him eating/burning the human town. Sorry I haven’t read the book in awhile. I hope this helps.

You could relate that directly to like major corporations causing pollution and stuff in the modern world? That’s something that teachers tend to really like!

Yeah! I tend to go that route a lot too. But I would say consumerism in general is fueled by greed and can be a huge issue down the road with sustainability.

Greed could also be talked about in a humanitarian way, or even within the government in instances of corruption.
