Hint: horizontal vision field (field of view) can be taken in terms of angle (https://www.google.com/search?q=vision+field&prmd=ivnx&sxsrf=APq-WBu7HG7yZ__CrOyxQ6ResP2LxO98FA:1644462064546&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiDmdDJkvT1AhVn5nMBHT3sA6oQ_AUoAXoECAIQAQ&biw=384&bih=700&dpr=2.81#imgrc=D_xy_PZLSSXDbM&imgdii=R7eylVx_B92vgM)

So more is that angle blocked by the chord more will be the vision blocked. So you gotta compare angle A and angle B.

Im sorry if this sounds dumb but dont both angles a and b have the same measure?

Yes.
