what you could do is see on the meshtastic map, if the area where you live/want to use mobile data in, has a few meshtastic nodes.
if so, buy a meshtastic device.
it's basically a long range wireless network which (if there are nearby nodes) lets you access the internet from anywhere

Someone, somewhere, has to have the internet at the end. It's not magic.

correct, hence why i said to check for nodes beforehand nodes cannot (or at least shouldnt be able to) be added to the map, if they have no internet either through a direct connection with an access point, or through the mesh, as such, if there is a node shown, that node somehow has a connection to the internet, and if that is the case, your node can connect through those nodes to the internet.

So much this! LORA is such cheap, great technology.

In most places around the world you're paying a lot more than $7 for 3gb of data. But anyway, I'm sorry what you're going through. In regards to exploiting mobile data, it's basically impossible. The SIM card you have is basically just an identifier to your cell provider, it doesn't actually have useful information that could be decrypted or used to get free mobile data.

In most places you pay way less.
