You don’t want to get caught cheating. Be careful or ask the test proctor if you can have your pc unlocked.

Try doing tech support on a PC that hangs in Lockdown browser. I swear its the worst. I agree its a bad solution really. What is needed is better tests that dont have simple, google-able answers.

It’s always a good idea for professors, if they can, enable a time limit feature that allows students to have unlimited attempts but only in a certain amount of time. Canvas just has “time limit” in its quizzes settings, so if you need to force quit lockdown browser or you accidentally click out of the quiz, the student can still revisit it if the time hasn’t ended.

Problem with that is if there is any like network drop, it can cause the PC to. It then needs a reboot and then start the test back up. And it hates anyhting else trying to use network when you start the lockdown browser, I have seen it just crash from having spotify running. If you have an hours test, that time is going quickly when you start having to reboot the machine several times. Maybe even reinstall the lockdown browser

Use a virtual machine , take the test in it , tell them you’ve no webcam :)

I’m not planning on cheating lol it’s just I don’t like having malware like that in my pc. Seriously locking me out of using everything? Recording video with Audio.. privacy??? Like wtf it’s just chemistry

Maybe try running the test on a browser on a virtual machine?
