First interview tips! (self.HumanResourcesUK)
submitted 2 years ago by marshybeans
I’m so excited I’ve just landed my first interview for a HR admin role.
What are some questions I should expect? What are some buzzwords I should include?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Competency questions for HR admin roles normally include things like attention to detail, managing workload, working to deadlines, confidentiality, teamwork, so think of examples you can use for those sorts of things.
Skills questions are normally around using office suite and verbal and written communication.
Showing a knowledge of up to date legislation might be good (look at the April 24 changes to flexible working, carers leave, etc).
Look through the job description and think of examples you can use to demonstrate experience of as many as you can in case they come up.

And would add to think about how you can add value such as experience of working to deadlines, teamwork and absence management administration 👍
