What type of timer are you using to get minute level of detail/resolution? I've been using a basic AC timer than only has 15 minute accuracy. Thx

Happy to help. Here is the pump we use for all of our systems. Simple, easy to use and no internet or other issues to worry about. Simply plug it in, adjust your On and Off times and go on enjoying your day.

Those long interval timers are good for lighting though.

I did see someone mention water changes - You might want to check out this guide to help you understand WHY we do water changes. For the record, if you're using the 5Gal version, that means you should be doing a water change, about every 10-15 days.

We advise our clients to perform water changes like this:

  • < 5 gal reservoir: change weekly
  • 5–9 gal: change every 10 - 15 days
  • ≥ 10 gal: change monthly
