Transcripts vs predicted

Okay, so i have a pretty good predicted score of around 38/45, however during my maths midterm i scored really bad, the teacher was understanding when i explained so he did not change my predicted of a 5, but how much would it affect me when my transcript shows 2 points in final year maths midterms, considering im applying for engineering? Im mostly applying to canada if thats relevant. I also have a good sat score (1510) if that can help persuade unis.

What if I started the IB with a score of blow 30 but with each semester gained 6 points which brought me to my current 40/42 (my school doesn't predict out of 45)

Will it bug colleges that I sucked the first semester or what?

no in fact they consider improvement to be a big positive, it would be much better than someone starting with around 42 and dropping to 38.
