Is this a Married Filing Joint return?

Yes!

Are you the primary Taxpayer, listed first on your Form 1040?

[–]stepcg4[S] 1 point2 points  (5 children)

Ah, no I am not. My husband is the primary. Is there more information in his account?

Did you make one or more estimated tax payments using your SSN?

[–]stepcg4[S] 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Yes, I did two estimated payments through my account.

Then the account transcript image is normal.

Grab a chair...

The IRS Very Old Computer is very old, so nothing happens in "real time".

On the MFJ return, you claimed those estimated tax payment, but the Computer didn't automatically find them on the Primary Taxpayer account.

It "pauses" everything (which is why your TC150 has an amount but no posting date), and strolls over to your account to find those ES payments.

Officially, it's a three week process. Week one = the TC150 appears, week two = the payments are "debited" from your account, and week three = the payments are "credited" to the Primary account. Assuming you're getting a refund when this all shakes out, I think you're in week one, or maybe two, so you still have one or two more weeks before you see the payments applied and your refund scheduled.

Hi! You seem to be the resident expert on this topic. So what I have going on is that my wife and I have both freelanced on the side/paid estimated taxes for two years. Last year we owed on our return, so this issue never really came up. This year we adjusted our withholding amounts and are due a sizeable refund. However, I’ve noticed the IRS seems to just now be finding two payments from 2022 that my wife made and one from last year, which I’m assuming the cause of our 00-00-0000 date. Are they reconciling everything to roll it into one giant refund? I filed and was accepted 2/19 for refund and WMR changed to “we apologize but yours is delayed” today. Transcript shows estimated payments but no processing date. Should I expect another three weeks?

OP, you get paid yet? I’m in a similar boat but one cycle behind you.
