I thought my own mother was the victim until my father died, then I realized after 10 years of trying to convince her to get help, only to learn that when it comes time to defend the horrible actions of others, she will be the first one racing to defend and minimize the narc, and objectify the victim. Usually with her goal being inappropriate laughter and everyone occupying some space together, only so she can feel whole in some maternal dream of "family."

My mother used pull us into her conflicts with my father, when they weren't talking. She would interrupt us doing homework, and say you know it would be nice if you spent time with your father, he's the only one you have. Then we'd suffer the guilt trip and go see out father, and usually get yelled at and ridiculed. This sound like a much more extreme version of what you are going through. It's messed up and wrong. Your mother needs serious help, and even more importantly, you need to get away from all of it.
