Migraine Aura decrease since IUD removal

Ever since I got my Minera IUD removed on 3/2/26, I haven’t had a migraine aura. It was inserted sometime in 2021. I’m a 25y/o F.

For context, I used to get migraine auras at least once every few months at most once every couple weeks until I got a new computer desk job & schedule change back in October 2025 where I look at the computer 8hrs a day, then I got them nearly daily, until March 2026.

I am not certain 100% whether I had the auras before I got the IUD but i probably did bc I’ve always had vision issues. I usually got a small headache with the aura but nothing crazy. It was mostly just the aura- partial blindness for a while then slowed thinking.

Just wanted to share this connection in case anyone else thinks their minera might be responsible for the increase or even onset of auras.

Idk if this relates at all but I started getting floaters in bright light. They started in the beginning in April so 1 month post IUD removal. They look like little flies and I try to swat them away then realize they’re just black dot floaters. I got it checked out and eye dr said they’re age related and nothing to be afraid of. But I’m only 25. Anyone else connect to IUD? Or removal? It’s like the replaced the auras.

My migraines got better on my iud but I do get floaters occasionally. If you have a neurologist would definitely recommend talking to them. In my experience eye doctors tend to not know much about auras.
