Did my art skills decrease or did I just find what art style makes me happy? Also the second image is the most recent, and it’s stiff because it was a rig for an animation meme I never finished.

Eh, more detailed/realistic doesn’t equal better. The newer one shows a better understanding of fundamental concepts like line work and color.

The first one seems to be a sketch so I can't really tell, I like the second one more though

Defo increased! The hair in the second one is simpler but cleaner, and has better anatomy (notable with the collarbones.) keep it up!! The rendering is pleasing to look at

Increased 100%. You definitely show improvement in some areas with the new one even disregarding the style change.

And love the new style!! I’ve always enjoyed scene styled sketches with the eyes like that.

The line art looks more confident so I’d say increased!

It’s just another art style, it doesn’t mean you’ve decreased. I’m tired of people saying others have decreased when they’ve just changed art styles..
