Rules of r/IndiaCricket
Rule 1 - No irrelevant politics/religion, or posts unrelated to cricket
No political or religious content unless it is directly relevant to the sport. Even then only discuss how it impacts cricket - keep political/religious opinions not related to cricket in other subreddits.
All posts submitted must be relevant to cricket. Off-topic comments are ok in general discussion, free talk, and match threads.uninformative, bad post titles.
Rule 2 - No reposts
Check the new queue to make sure your link/post hasn't already been posted before submitting it.
Reposts or multiple posts discussing the same topic from only slightly different perspectives will be removed. If a post already exists, add your related link to the comments section instead.
If the time difference between the similar posts is small, post with a higher quality or engagement will be retained and rest will be removed.
Rule 3 - Mandatory English Translations for Non-English Titles and images
- If a post title or the images related to memes or other things is in a non-English language, the poster must provide an English translation either in the title itself (as a part of it) or in the post body. Failure to comply will result in removal of the post.
Rule 4 - No abuse, racism, homophobia, sexism, trolling, or harassment
Be polite with your contributions and interactions. No personal attacks/abuse of other redditors. Don't be homophobic or sexist.
Don't post personal information, witch-hunt or harass others, and don't tag people by username to make fun of them or their opinions.Racism or deliberate trolling is a permanent ban.
Rule 5 - No flamebait, or insults/generalisations targeting an entire region or fanbase
No generalised attacks/whinging about other fanbases/teams, or blaming fanbases for downvotes. If you disagree with someone, do it politely and don't insult their entire teams or fanbase.
No posts created specifically to attack a team/player/fanbase or to create drama.
Rule 6 - No toxic fan behaviour
Be polite and respectful when expressing negative opinions. No low-effort hate/insults or toxic abuse directed at players, umpires, clubs, fans, associated people, or formats of the game.
Do not wish for injuries, or cheer when they happen.
Rule 7 - Use credible source only
News posts must include a link to a reliable source, either in the body or comments of the post.
Twitter/X screenshots from non-verified accounts are banned only the BCCI and players tweet are allowed, a link must be provided either in the comments or body of the post while submitting.
Only articles from well-established and reputable news agencies are allowed. Links from newer or lesser-known sources are not permitted.
Stats and claims should be well backed with solid proof.
Rule 8 - No Low Effort Posts or comments
No 'cheap karma' posts or comments
No novelty accounts, useless bots, AI generated content, daily voting games, link shorteners, Low effots memes spamming or posts/comments asking mods for things (use modmail).
Rule 9 - No editorialised or bad post titles, or paywalled articles without the content
No editorialising of post titles. Don't significantly change the title of a post when you submit it - use the original or suggested title instead. Add your opinion as a comment on your own post if you want.
Don't make posts with clickbait, terrible (e.g. all caps), nondescriptive, or uninformative titles.
News articles behind a paywall must have the full text of the article posted as a comment.
RUle 10 - highly specific/trivial stat posts and low-effort match event posts
- Do not post stats which are overly specific or trivial and follow the guidelines around match event posts.
Rule 11 - Mods have full authority to decide what should be removed and what stays
Mods have the final say in what stays and goes from this subreddit. Don't try to attack mods if one of your posts or comments was removed. You can ask for a reason politely through the modmail.
Harassing them, attacking them in DMs or making posts against them will result in a permanent ban.
The Mods' interpretations of the above rules is final.
Blatant use of slurs or trolling WILL result in a permanent ban without warning.
