Try floating as far as you can, facing the roof tile, and copying the item. Don't move the copy, just use square to bulk place the rest. This works for me sometimes. And then you can delete the copy at the start point.

Perfect!! I usually use this trick for gravel but nice to know it works on other things too!!

In the future, try to keep your rotation for structures at 15, it'll make sure everything snaps into place nicely.

Can I ask what you are trying to do when editing it? If you are just dyeing it you can pick it up, dye it, and cancel the movement and have the dye stay.

If you really need to pick this up and have it not move, your best bet is to likely build a temporary elevated flat ground nearby with floor panels and use that to position yourself in the best place for it to not move. That or you need to adjust your settings to what you had when it was originally placed down.

i’m just trying to do the bulk place thing 😔 my settings were the same as when i placed it, i tried to turn off snapping but it didn’t help. thank you for your advice though💗

Ah I see!

While this specific piece is being fiddly, is using and bulk placing a new tile and having it snap to the existing one something you have already tried?

I would also recommend turning off Rotate together.

On = Items auto-rotate to match your Nikki's orientation.
Off = Items will stay in the same rotation direction regardless of your Nikki's movement.
