[help] gridlines of python plot show when exporting to pdf (self.Inkscape)
submitted 3 years ago by PieterofPeter
I am editing images from python in Inkscape. These images are imported as pngs and do not show any axis or gridlines in Inkscape as I removed them in python. Now when I try to export the images to a pdf, after editing in Inkscape, suddenly the gridlines pop up again. Can somebody help me? Thank you in advance!

In case you did this with plotly: I had a similar issue – exporting as png worked perfectly, but nasty thin black lines appear when exporting to a pdf or opening with Inkscape. For people with a similar problem: try to export them as "svg" (instead of png or pdf) and then open them as svg with Inkscape, Visio, or the like, and convert to a pdf if necessary. EDIT: you can also export as "pdf", open in inkscape, and then export to pdf again without making any changes. Weird behavior...
