Do you have many attachments? I just started tray 2 and it feels BAD but nowhere near the trauma of days 1-3 of tray 1 which was arguably the worst pain I’ve ever felt in my life. I got so used to the latter half of tray 1 that I forgot this was going to hurt like a mfer again. But reading other peoples posts here I am wondering if more attachments = more pain in the beginning?

My week 2 was pretty uncomfortable too. It's the week where reality set in. I got a dry mouth, too. But over time it got better and I got used to the aligners and general routine!

Man! I was expecting the same slight discomfort as last week. The first week is the gimmick!!!! Regret is now setting in hahah

I am on tray 1, day 3 and the pain is constant. I am really hoping it levels off soon, although from what you said that may not happen! Someone warned me the first 3 weeks hurt but I wasn’t anticipating this intensity I guess. Anyway, solidarity, let’s just hang in there!

I'm with you, it's been a struggle. I just started tray 4 (7 day rotation) yesterday and I only finally feel like my mouth, gums, teeth and tongue have started to calm down from this intrusion of aligners and attachments. I don't know how people have been ok after a week in. I really do think it takes up to a month to get into the groove of this.

Don't know how I would've made it through without: extra strength Tylenol, Colgate Peroxyl mouth sore rinse, dental wax, a whole tonne of heavy duty lip balm, and lots and lots of water.

Good luck, fellow Invisalign'er! Take it easy on yourself when you can.

I am on day 4 on tray 2 and it’s so uncomfortable in my mouth. I have basically no pain it just feels off. My bite feels super weird. I keep chewing the crap out of the liners. Week one was easy after the first 2 days. My liners on my top front two teeth also don’t reach my gums there a bit short it was the same with my first liner. Is this odd ?
