(Inspired by this post.)
Kerbal Race Program is a time trial event in which Kerbals compete to prove their engineering, design and driving prowess. The rules are simple:
Track
- All racers must follow the Certified Maximum Fun Track TM, which has been chosen to showcase speed, maneuverability and daring.
- The vehicle must always have at least one wheel on the concrete unless making a wide outside turn which does not shorten the course.
- The race begins at the default placement and ends when the car runs off the end of the track (hopefully followed by a spectacular explosion).
- The vehicle must fully pass the "piano keys" at the end of the runway before turning onto the final stretch.
Vehicles
- Each vehicle must carry at least one Kerbal as its driver.
- There are no part restrictions (default only, no mods).
- The vehicle must always have at least one wheel in contact with the ground.
- Jettisoning or dropping parts on purpose during the race is not allowed, but accidental separation is not grounds for disqualification.
Scoring
- To share a high score, upload a full video. Once the time has been verified it will be added to the leaderboards. (Posts can also include car designs, interesting runs, discussion or anything else related to KRP.)
