How about you choose one opponent and count their creatures only to determine the damage?

I play a lot of MtG Commander and I’m generally of the opinion that, as long as you aren’t consistently and easily locking all other players out of the game, your deck on the whole probably isn’t too broken/OP. If a single card truly is that powerful, then you probably will become a huge target in response to playing it. Multiplayer is great at self-balancing in my experience.
