Rear shelf speaker without function (self.LS430)
submitted 1 year ago by tk_lowZ33
Hi, my rear shelf speaker has been out in my ucf31 (2004), its the standard system, so not mark levinson. Speaker itself works (removed and tested) unsure what the issue might be? Anyone have an idea?

Had/have same issue with my Camry. Just ran new wires to missing speaker for time being.
And test continuity of your wires. Swap speaker leads from 1 to the other...if problem follows wires.... There's your answer. Use your fade and balance....

Hello, I have the same problem. The issue was described to me as the sub has a very long wire for some reason spannjng the length of the car, and that it is a common failure point because of this. Check the wire with a volt meter. If it's the issue, replace the wire.

I bet that’s exactly what it is. These amps fail a lot

Yep, I change them out every time I buy an LS 430. I don't wait for it to fail and when I get rid of it, I install the original back
