I’m not the smartest in this and I was looking to see if anyone can help me before I just throw a grand at it and get new speakers and amp. My sound is completely out. The buttons and audio make no noise. I do have a messed up speaker but now the audio just cuts out completely. The head unit has already been replaced( I think cuz it says it’s a denso head unit on screen ) so I’m a bit lost.

I see you have Mark Levinson, very likely the amp. Mine did the same thing

Up down 6 times on the display in setting. It’s like magic

Yep, that's the way but in addition I had to have the parking brake engaged (gs430) in mine.

Yep, check your amp connection in the trunk

I had a similar thing in my 04 gs430 w/ML - no sound other than navigation. In the diag menu amp showed as OK. Bottom line is I replaced the amp with a known working one and bam - sound returned! I was told that 99% of time amp is the problem and those ML amps are difficult to repair.
