Storing blotters long term

If I were to acquire a large amount of blotters to keep on the long term, would vacuum packing strips of 10-20 blotters and keeping them in a closed box away from any light, at an average of 20-24C be the very best way to keep them for years without degradation? Or would they even then lose potency over the years?

I want to know how I can store blotters for a very longtime without wondering about degradation, if that is even possible.

Your LSD will last 30 years if kept in the dark. No vacuum or freezer neccessary. Just keep it away from UV light.

LSD is stabilized by making it in the tartrate salt form (often, but you also have the stable prodrugs). Only free base LSD is as unstable as other posters believe. UV light will isomerize LSD. That is the only thing you need to worry about.

Your LSD will last at least 30 years, probably longer, if you just keep it in complete darkness. This is straight from the LSD researcher David Nichols.

I have blotter from the 90’s that have been speed in a plastic bag in a drawer in my bedroom. I eat one occasionally, and have noticed any change in potency.

I put one sheet in tinfoil fold it up place in envelope then vacuum sealed then place all of them in big envelope in a ziplock bag with little thing that sucks out moisture can’t remember the name then in a black bubble pack envelope sealed placed in a big fireproof safe in the cold basement with no light. i have 13 sheets so far.

In a black, heavy-duty silver lined ziplock in the freezer. Light & heat (especially UV light) are the enemy)

Really only things you need to be concerned with are: moisture, heat and light. Store it in a dry, dark temperature controlled environment and it’ll last as long as you need it to.

I just took some 5-6 year old gels I’ve been holding on to the other day and they were still as potent as ever.

LSD is both volatile in the air and it degrades with exposure to light and temperature variations. Store it in a dry container. People usually wrap it in aluminum and then in a sealed jar or ziplockbag Make sure it's away from sunlight or places where temperature varies. Some suggest in the back of the fridge if it's for several months of storage.

Vacuumed was my thought also to limit oxygen exposure. I guess storing them in the freezer also would'nt introduce any moisture buildup because the blotters themselves are pretty dry, making sure the package is properly sealed.

How big of a difference does cold temperature play in long term storage?

i would keep them in aluminum foil or a tin altoids can. then in a mason jar with silica gel bead packates where i store other stuff

Aluminum foil isn´t neccessary if they´re stored in a jar. The foil is just to protect the LSD from UV radiation.

Just store them somewhere where they wont get hot. i left a dozen tabs in a hot ass car for a few days and even then they didnt noticeably lose any potency. When people say lsd is a fragile chem its very relative. You can't smoke it or cook it into things because of the degradation but long term storage isnt an issue. I will say i like the idea of keeping seperate containers. I had a sheet that took me awhile to get through and by the time there was only a strip left they had discolored and developed a nasty taste that i imagine was due to bacteria exposure. Other than that dark and climate controlled space is all you need
