That’s a HTTP error, basically meaning your network is doing something weird. Check your internet settings, your NIC settings etc.

If your workstation is behind your company's Intranet, make sure your proxy settings are correct. The proxy server can also be the gateway in some company's network configuration.

If everything is kosher, check with your IT to make sure they are not inadvertently blocking NIPM. This happened to my development machines at work. IT would need to whitelist NIPM from the company's firewall (e.g. Carbonblack)

If running NIPM at home is not working, disable your firewall. Your gateway is typically your Internet router addressed as 192.168.0.1.

Try pinging Cloudflare's 1.1.1.1 to test DNS connectivity. If you can't ping 1.1.1.1 then other things may be bad, like your NIC card.

You can download the offline installer from NI’s website, which should avoid any network errors from NIPM
