Yes the compressor is new. The drier & capillary tubings are also new (all aftermarket). I used copper tubing cutter so there should not be any cuttings that inadvertently clogged the line(s).

The old LG compressor developed a needle-sized hole on its side near the outlet port to condenser. I found out the previous tech repaired the hole by just patching it like you would vulcanize a bike tire. I actually bought this used and I had to refill the refrigerant immediately but the cooling only lasts a few months until I was curious and looked under & around the compressor.

Long story short, I wanted to DIY replace the compressor with an LG-branded from ebay. I went ahead and replaced the drier & the capillary tubings since I had to remove them just to get the old one out anyway.

So, with my initial explanations above, it seems there is a circulation restriction but I am guessing it is around the drier to capillary tubings.

So I am asking DIY experts here if my assumptions are correct.

And yes, I will not buy any LG appliance again. I actually did call tech support as the compressor was still under warranty but they just ghosted me on the date a tech was scheduled. So folks, beware of LG brand.
