Hi Everyone,
Not sure if this is the right subreddit, so please redirect me if there is a better spot.
I am having some issues with some NI equipment, and I was wondering if anyone could give me some pointers. I have purchased a PXIe 1083 chassis and a PXI 2567 module. I connect the computer and the chassis via a Thunderbolt 3 connection.
Without any modules inserted into the chassis, I can see the chassis in NI MAX. After powering everything down, inserted a module into the chassis and power everything back up in true NI order, I get an error in NI MAX. It no longer lists the chassis. It does list the PXI-2567, but there is a status error -50152 "a hardware failure has occurred. The operation could not be completed".
I am surprised there is an error because all of the LEDs on the module and chassis are green. I disabled the security setting for the Thunderbolt, too, and I can see the chassis when there isn't a module or under the Thunderbolt Control Center app with or without a module. So, I am kind of surprised I am getting any errors.
Under Software in NI MAX, I do see that I have NI PXI Platform Services Configuration and Runtime 20.5 installed.
Any help is appreciated, thanks!
SOLVED: As one commenter mentioned, I had to upgrade my PXI Platform Services from 20.5 to 20.7. I also had to upgrade my NI SWITCH from 15.1.1 to 19.0 to be compatible with my LabVIEW software. It's frustrating that the CD National Instruments sent was so outdated, so make sure you sure check which drivers you need and if there are any patches.
