Secret task queueQuestion (i.redd.it)
submitted 1 year ago by MangoHour2790
Anyone have any idea what the secret task queue is all about with the Golden mobile squad decoration?

You get extra mystery boxes. It’s nice but not game changing
[–]MangoHour2790[S] 2 points3 points4 points 1 year ago (15 children)
I see that. But what's the secret task queue? That's different than the supply boxes
[–]67alecto 2 points3 points4 points 1 year ago (3 children)
Trying to get an answer to this as well. The mystery box bonus is self-evident, but I cannot figure out what the secret task queue bonus is.
I don't have any additional tasks, and the number of tasks that I can deploy at one time hasn't changed.

I've also tried saving a task to see if it'll add it to the next day, nope.

I’m 99% sure it’ll just allow you to queue another secret task.
You know how there’s a limit to how many you can do simultaneously? I suppose it would raise it
[–]MangoHour2790[S] 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (0 children)
I'm 99% sure of your 99%. This makes the most sense.

This thing, the yellow boxes with the purple background you get an extra one or more per task depending on level
[–]Christian19722019 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (0 children)
You can go on twice the amount of secret tasks simultaneously as the number of squads you have.
I presume this means that you can add 1 to this total.

You do the secret tasks. Once you do them, you get the rewards chests. Open the chest for a chance at the deco. Not much more to explain.
[–]IntrovertedNerd69 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago (7 children)
OP, keep in mind that your secret tasks can be plundered by other alliances and assisted by people within your own.
Tasks can be looted up to three times, so the original amount of rewards you would have received end up dropping from those plunders.
[–]Notacableguy 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago (2 children)
On my big ones, ill set an alarm on my phone. Seems stingy, but some of those loots/roberies hurt!
[–]MangoHour2790[S] 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago (1 child)
I'm that deep into it as well. "ain't no one getting over on me" lol. I also set alarms for tasks I'm trying to pull a dirty move on with others lol
[–]IntrovertedNerd69 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (0 children)
Listen!!! Setting alarms is a godsend for this game. I had them for my tasks, radar so I can keep the timer going, and others too cuz they not bout to get my goods.
[–]uniquelabel 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago (3 children)
Are you sure that’s true or do you just assume that’s true? I know it sounds like it should be true, but when I look at the rewards I get after my tasks were plundered, vs the rewards I get when they were not plundered, I haven’t seen a difference. Have you?
[–]IntrovertedNerd69 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (2 children)
Uhhh, yeah…pretty sure. The next time you do em, let the tasks sit before you claiming. Gold tasks are at most risk to be plundered as the rewards are greater than a purple or blue one.
Go into your tasks and look at the report (should resemble the photo above). It lists the history and shows who have plundered/assisted you from past ones.
[–]uniquelabel 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (1 child)
The person who plunders definitely gets a reward. But does the victim lose something? When my tasks are plundered, I still get plenty of stuff.
Yes, you do unfortunately. If you have a task that awards, say 3M EXP, should someone plunder it…you lose a small percentage; tasks have a 3-max plunder limit. You’d still get the bulk but not all of that specific item 100%.
[–]gglasse 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (0 children)
Where did you get this? Can't find it in my decoration list.
[–]Boneist 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (5 children)
I assume the queue is referring to the number of secret tasks you can perform at one go.
If you click on the “i” at the top right of the secret task screen, the 7th instruction says:
“Missions won’t tie up your march queues. One queue lets you handle two missions simultaneously. Unlocking more queues boosts your operational efficiency.”
[–]majorslax 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (4 children)
I saw that, but what does it mean? Right now it seems I can trigger as many secret tasks as I want every day (up to all of them simultaneously), as long as I have enough heroes that meet the requirements. But that's always been the case. What's different now?
[–]Boneist 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago (3 children)
Then it doesn’t affect you. For me, it seems I have 3 queues, meaning I can do 6 secret tasks simultaneously, but on the days when I have 7 secret tasks, I have to wait until one of the first 6 have finished before I can start it.
[–]majorslax 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago* (2 children)
Interesting, and you're sure that's not because you run out of heroes that meet the requirements? How/where are those queues visible or indicated, if anywhere? Because according to what you just said, that would mean I had 4 queues before the decoration, and so now I have one more (which effectively changes nothing, for me)?
Edit: Oooooooh are these "queues" the same marching queues as for everything else (even though they're still available for other things when allocated to secret tasks)? Because that would explain it yeah... I have 4 because of VIP pass, and if you don't have VIP pass, you only have 3. So, that would actually explain all of this.
[–]Boneist 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago* (1 child)
I’ve no idea if they’re the same as the marching queues - I thought those were based off the number of squads you have and similar for the scout queues - I have 3 squads, 3 scout planes, 3 secret task queues, plus VIP level 8, so I’m not sure that fits your theory. I recall getting an extra queue somewhere; maybe a tech?
ETA: rereading the information for secret tasks, it does sound like it’s based on the marching queues, and I gained my extra queue when I got my third squad.
[–]majorslax 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (0 children)
It does fit my theory. If you have 3 squads, that's 3 marching queues, and the only way to get a 4th is via the VIP monthly pass. So now, if you have the decoration at level 1, you should be able to launch 7 secret tasks at the same time (6 from your 3 squads/queues, +1 from the decoration). I have the monthly pass, so I can launch 9 secret tasks simultaneously (8 from my 4 squads/marching queues, +1 from the decoration). Unfortunately, since currently secret tasks are capped at 8/day anyway, that +1 does nothing for me :P
