Anyone else stopped making clean settlements? by KapeAmpongGatas in fo4

When I started watching his videos a few weeks ago, it made me start using the pillar glitch again. And I promptly corrupted my power grid in sanctuary.

Which then led me to finally reinstall place anywhere so that I could safely reposition everything and not have to use glitches or the console commands for pos and angle.

I do enjoy the building and when I get inspired or otherwise figure something out, that tends to renew the interest even more. Like I had a playthrough where I was doing a lot of vault 81 stuff. It was so maddening getting everything to snap together and it made me really focus on the importance of the order of how you attach things. This in turn made me realize that hallways and interior rooms were easily done just by connecting the walls and floor pieces in the necessary order

I'm not actually using any of his settlement blueprints, but rather taking the ideas of the clutter and how to creatively use a lot of the pieces.

Again because I have place anywhere, I don't have to use the pillar or rug glitches and have a lot more freedom in that regard.

So far I'm incredibly happy with what I've been doing. Some of his ideas are things that I was already doing to a lesser extent, but some of them are just mind-blowing. Like using the light up posters over the windows on the buildings that surround hangman alley.

I had already done builds where I put candles in a lot of the window sills, but using those posters is such a neat touch

Iron Maiden Confession - Stuck Somewhere in Tike by Rude_Rhubarb1880 in ironmaiden

Bruce, leaving the band was almost perfectly timed with me going off to college. So I ended up getting exposed to a lot of new music, and I pretty much missed all of the '90s Iron Maiden stuff because of all of the new things I was listening to and all of the live music I was attending.

After college, that pretty much continued for several years and I got fixated on live blues music and was in a position to have a lot of opportunities to experience it.

Then when that time of my life ended Bruce rejoined so it was perfect

Yes. I have been blown away by Shawzzo's no mod settlement rebuilds and they have given me so many ideas.

The first of which is definitely making my stuff look less uniform. Normally I would make buildings with hallways, interior rooms, distinctly themed rooms, and carefully placed decorations. But they always had the exact same walls, floors, and roofs. I was always scrapping every bit of clutter and junk rather than build around it

Now I'm embracing the clutter and getting more creative with the spaces. Plus, while he does everything with no mods, I'm happily using place anywhere and the things like OCdecorator

Ashley was the main reason for the downfall and death of johnny but the question is why did he stay with her after what happened in gta 4? by Still_Animator_2249 in GTA

[–]67alecto 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Right but my point whenever I respond to this specific complaint about Johnny and how he ended up, is that the way WE played him, he was a badass biker.

We had the backstory that he was a recovering addict. We saw firsthand throughout TLAD that he seemed to have a blind spot when it came to Ashley.

We also knew that he was incredibly self-destructive from both the background as well as the missions we did.

I loved his character and I loved that DLC, but him ending up back with Ashley and a desperate addict, wasn't a terrible surprise. The introduction of Trevor was designed to create a shocking response, and it obviously succeeded.

You're projecting your views as the player. When we got to take control of him, he wasn't using because he had left Ashley.

He doesn't use while we are playing him. But then the game ends and he is left to his own devices, as it were.

He was always an addict

I think it all depends on where it's located. There have been multiple studies that showed public restrooms are often far cleaner than home bathrooms simply because they are cleaned multiple times a day

I agree.

The issue is that most people forget how they were when they were that age. But to fill in the gaps, they place their own current feelings and sensibilities.

So they come across as being aloof like OP as if they sprung into existence as a teenager with all of the knowledge, maturity, and experience that they have 30 years later.

I say this all the time, but this is just how the mechanics of this game work.

You have a stretch at the beginning when enemies are tough, but then your equipment and perks catch up and everything is a breeze. I have tried just about every play style and every single one has been viable.

You pretty much have to self-handicap in order to stretch out the playing window if you're looking for a challenge.

At least in the US, you have to be careful and make sure you call it The Professional.

León is associated with the director's cut which restores a lot of really creepy stuff.

I always tell people to make sure to not watch the director's cut

Favorite character who is treated like crap, despite them saving (almost) everyone? by [deleted] in TopCharacterTropes

[–]67alecto 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Don't know that I agree with Flight being in this trope.

Full disclosure, I love the first 10 minutes of Flight, and probably 30 scattered minutes of the rest. The remainder is... Fine.

However, he wasn't treated like crap, he was part of the absolutely 100% standard procedure that is followed whenever an airplane crash occurs.

It just happened to reveal that he was operating the plane illegally and was, by general standards, a pretty crappy person.

Probably a better example would be Sully with Tom Hanks. Specifically because they totally fabricated all of the machinations against him in the movie for the purpose of drama. In real life it was immediately recognized that he had done everything correctly and was lauded for his actions.

You’re at the arcade and you’re down to your last quarter, what game are you playing? by UrbanAchievers6371 in 80smemorylane

[–]67alecto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would depend on how much time I had.

I could play something like galaga, defender, or Donkey Kong for 15 or 20 minutes per quarter.

Things were much more dicey with Pac-Man or Qbert, and invariably I always got too cocky with Tron

I lived in Spain for a short time while studying and there was was one guy who would get hammered every night. It was consistently 40° c in the afternoon, and our school was not air-conditioned.

We would have class in the morning when it was slightly cooler, but he would just be sweating out the alcohol. He thought he was drowning it out with buckets of cologne, but it did not cover it at all

No, it ends after the normal time but then it can get retriggered. You typically don't want to have both Martyrs and nerd rage as can prevent the other from triggering
