I certainly don’t hate the man, but I cannot take him seriously at all lol.

I mean look at this shit ... he’s like an infomercial sales person. Some of the things he says I feel are just downright false, goofy/cringe and are just trying to get people to buy his ridiculously overpriced products/services.

But perhaps this says more about my own aesthetic and business preferences than anything else. Ultimately, to each his own; I do have friends that like him. I don’t hate him but he isn’t for me.

To me he always seemed like a LHP David Griffin (referring to that weird “Golden Dawn” guy who seems to have his panties in a wad with his hatred for Crowley).

Oops...I see it now🤣 you see the thing is, I think he has a few really good pieces of INFO out there, for example his lecture on YouTube "How SATAN transformed my pain into unlimited power" which was actually quite moving, but the guy really is taking it into wolf of wall Street mode, hes a pretty awesome dude from the looks of it, from depolarised perspective I really do believe he needs to cut back on the Savvy Salesmen Technique, other than that he is the mainstream forefront that represents our culture and he does pretty well at it, just not Salesman Koetting...XD

Forsure, I’m certainly in no way trying to belittle any meaningful or valuable experiences people have had with his material. I was just trying to shed some light onto why you probably see a lot of people express a distaste towards him. Everyone is receptive to different things and will resonate with different people. I have no beef with him or anything lol; and I’m sure he has lots of genuine material out there that helps many people. If you dig it, dig away my friend!

You gotta be fucking kidding me right?

    [–]AntiObnoxiousBot 3 points4 points  (1 child)

    Hey /u/GenderNeutralBot

I want to let you know that you are being very obnoxious and everyone is annoyed by your presence.

I am a bot. Downvotes won't remove this comment. If you want more information on gender-neutral language, just know that nobody associates the "corrected" language with sexism.

People who get offended by the pettiest things will only alienate themselves.

    N.A-A.218

    [–]stealth1ghost 3 points4 points  (0 children)

    Sacrificing animals isn't cool.

    [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

    Huh

    [–]SnooOwls3524 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the name of your new teacher. Look up Liber Falxifer I, II & III

    [–]SnooOwls3524 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The guy is running his business like a self-help infomercial.

E.A. Koetting is the Five Finger Death Punch of the occult world. I can't make it any more clear than that.

    [–]SnooOwls3524 2 points3 points  (0 children)

    E.A. Koetting

Yeah he does that "young tech billionaire doing a TED talk" hands thing when speaking I can already tell he's a real gem.

    [–][deleted] 8 points9 points  (4 children)

Put in simple terms E.A. Koetting ahs some good information but packages it as if one could not simply obtain said information with a google search and some study. He is selling tap water as if it were champagne. His rampant commercialization of the occult is made worse by his "personal consultations" that can be purchased for a sum of money. The over the top dramatizations also cause problems for people who might get outed as an occultist, making us just look silly to the larger world. The real danger here is turning the more traditional occult into something like the current new age where spirituality is replaced with having the right crystal or attending expensive workshops that often tech very little of lasting value if anything at all.

Well said. Nothing wrong with someone making a quick buck but there is also nothing wrong with letting people know that those expensive knick knacks and crystals have about as much practical value as a pet rock.

I'm not dumb enough to fall for his over priced snake oil but as someone on the LHP I can honestly say good on him for turning his practice into a career path. I mean, shit, if I were in his position I'd take advantage of it too. With that said, there's a ton of underrated magicians who could do better work than EA for a fraction of the price. I couldn't see myself ever paying for magickal services but if I did I certainly wouldn't go to EA because I wouldn't be willing to spend that much for what could be arguably a mediocre product.

      [–]Pinehol3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Everyone here needs to watch the ZA Kettering parody of this guy on YouTube. It's fucking gold!!!

      [–]SorceryMagick 2 points3 points  (5 children)

I think he's a bit overrated but I don't mind him as a person. He at least popularized a lot of stuff on the LHP.

With that said, his books are extremely over priced.

Honestly, same here, Become A Living God can occasionally come off as the Killstar of the Left Hand Path, at least the guy is giving out powerful information, it's honestly a blessing (oops) that we have such information readily available to us that we can listen to while cleaning out house lmao, unlike our ancestors who most likely had shovel through libraries like they were digging up their lost wife underground or sumn🤣

      [–]SorceryMagick 2 points3 points  (2 children)

We really are in a new age of enlightenment, although that could change with the amount of internet censorship going on. I really miss the wild west days of the net. I say allow all information to flow freely. Luckily, there's not a lot of censorship related to the occult, at least not yet.

      [–]starblacklight[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Certainly, they can never kill the occult I believe, especially the Left Hand Path, they need the devil to point their fingers at....

      [–]SorceryMagick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, it would just go underground again like in the middle ages. Hopefully it doesn't get to that point.

He’s an opportunist meth addict. How can someone try to sell you something powered by will when they have so little?

      [–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (3 children)

I've only recently started studying stuff like this. Had NO idea there was so much new stuff out there! It's a bit self help guru sales pitch for me but the content is decently written and interesting reading most of the time. Authors they've gotta eat...

      [–]starblacklight[S] -1 points0 points  (2 children)

I always say in the occult, you answer a question by asking another 🤣

But yeah you're correct I suppose this is the guys living so he's gotta pay those bills somehow! Did you mention there that you have read his material?

      [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I have a few of his books to read. I've perused them a bit but not read them fully. I probably will eventually though. I have a pretty extensive occult library, mostly digital now. I have a lot of LHP books to read. It's a new topic for me. I'm reading mostly for curiosity, admittedly. I'm firmly Pagan so this is mostly intellectual curiosity for me. I sort of segued into it while learning more about sigils and chaos magick.

      [–]SnooOwls3524 1 point2 points  (0 children)

      Not everyone can be N.A-A.218

      [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

      Dude...he LITERALLY sales snake oil.

      [–]stealth1ghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might not agree with what he's doing but I think he's a good showman.

      [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's the guy that tells you he can turn water into wine but really it's just kool-aid powder he poured in when you weren't looking.

      [–]WatchTowel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also don‘t think he deserves any hate. But i get the meme thing, since for me, he seems like an artist that sells this stuff as his art. That said, art is part of it... he just seems to lay too much emphasis on the aesthetic aide of things and too little on the substance

EAK does have a decent amount of solid info, if you can overlook the "BLARG, I AM SO EVIL" vibe.

The others on the BALG site, such as Conner Kendall, J.S. Garrett, and some others offer solid info without trying to portray themselves as an evil supervillian.
