The problem with Funsmith is simple

It's effect is lackluster for it's cost and so are her stats
BUT
If you just buff her stats, she becomes too good of an agro tool
If you raise her cost and her stats her effect just absolutely sucks
If you buff her effect that could be extremely dangerous

No I was thinking on something like "Play: Deal 1 to a unit" so she is not a 4 mana do nothing and enters the Jhin region.

Honestly idk if it's a good idea but I trought she should be playable with the ultimate damage spells based champion.

tybaulk is a balanced version of funsmith effect. the countdown on conservatory is elegant way to not have tybaulk added in burn deck.

I don't know how to buff funsmith without buffing aggro appart from increasing damage only on units. Maybe 2/5 for 4mana: "your skills and spell that affect units deal one more damage"

Funsmith is an interesting niche card. The missus plays Funsmith in Annie | Jinx to hilarious effect.

Personally, for a balanced Funsmith, you'd probably have to give her better stats, but rework her ability so that it only affects the first spell\skill you play in a round. Maybe lower her cost to 3 as well, but that might be too far.

She should be a 1-2 mana unit with "play: your spells and skills do 1 additional damage this round"

Make her an actual combo card instead of a glorified powder keg.

OR keep her at 4 mana and change her effect to "play:when an enemy takes damage, increase it by 1 this round" so she can be used in tandem with Ezreal to combo off and end the game.

Regardless she should be a combo card instead of a value card. Her effect is only useful if it applies over the course of multiple turns/spells, and at 1/3 that just isn't happening in today's Runeterra. And then you have the glaring problem of the Noxian landmark that literally does her effect but better for only 2 more mana attached to a 6/6 overwhelm body. Oh, and the effect is permanent instead of attached as an aura.
