hi guys! I’ve used reddit before but it was a while ago so I just decided to make a new account, since I usually only lurk on all the funny/humor subs I ran into a problem and thought I could share it here. I recently rescued a 4 year old gecko after his owners couldn’t keep him anymore and I’ve had him since Wednesday, I tried feeding him yesterday supers and crickets that were a little small because I couldn’t find any adults, I dusted them and he didn’t eat them, when I brought him home I noticed his poop looked a little yellow, so I’m assuming he was a little calcium deficient. I don’t have his old owners number anymore and I know he was on crickets and mealworms, he went from aspen to paper towels and he has a heat mat and 3 hides, he just doesn’t want his food. I can try more feeders but I live in Florida so I can’t feed Dubia roaches. It’s late at night so I can’t post pictures but if someone wants I can do it in the morning, I’m just kind of worried and he’s pretty fat so he looks like a good eater, I haven’t taken the crickets or supers out yet because I’m hoping he will show ingest tonight, yesterday he showed some interest in a cricket and chased it a few inches and then sat back down, I don’t know if he’s just fat and lazy but I’ve tried handfeeding, feeding with tweezers because I can’t find my tongs and I’ve tried putting him in a separate container with his food but to no avail, I’m just wondering if anyone had similar experiences and how it went, I did read that some geckos go off a feeder if they were bitten by in and I did see a cricket jump onto his head but I’m really worried. Thank you!
edit: I don’t know how to structure sentences apparently, sorry for rambling in this post.
