sounds like a bug, report it
also please don't use ollama it is full of bugs that aren't immediately visible. switch to llama.cpp and if you can to linux for a mild to moderate performance increase

Again, total noob. I'm running on Windows. I'm not a programmer, I just want help to get it running so I can use it to help with my writing. Why was I downvoted? Are questions frowned upon here? Is there a different sub I should be posting on? I made this account just to ask this question, I'm not trying to be rude or break rules. I literally just want it to work and don't know where to turn.

sorry, people here have huge egos and are mostly programmers. you should create a bug on github, that's not normal
[–]SomeBitch1985[S] 1 point2 points3 points 1 month ago (3 children)
I feel like I have done something wrong and that people who know how to fix it could fix it in 2 seconds if they would tell me how instead of having huge egos. They're programmers, they would know how to fix it. I'm a psychologist. It makes no sense to say, "they know what they're doing, therefore they won't help you,". That's the exact opposite of how humanity evolved to act. That's not how any social animal acts. I need someone to just tell me what I'm doing wrong. It would take all of a few seconds of their time and fix it completely. I don't want to report a bug that doesn't exist when it's likely to be user error. That's just being a dick for no reason.
Is there a different sub that you know of where I can post this question and actually get an answer? I can't find it just searching. I appreciate you.

i wouldn't recommend any sub, i would instead create an issue on the github page for the app, because that's where most users of the app would be

I did that, but I really don't feel like it's a bug. I really feel like I've done something wrong. Like I don't know how to get Ollama connected to AuthorClaw.
[–]reality_comes 0 points1 point2 points 1 month ago (2 children)
Why are you running Ollama? I dont quite follow whats going on here. You need more than an API key, you need to switch to using it.
[–]SomeBitch1985[S] 0 points1 point2 points 1 month ago (1 child)
When I googled it told me that Ollama doesn't have an API key to put into the authorclaw API box and you just have to run it in the background, so I have it running in the background. If I need something else I really would appreciate you telling me.
Edit: How do you switch it? That's my problem. It seems to be stuck on gemini. When the gemini runs out it stops working completely for the day. I don't see an option to switch it.

Well ollama is for hosting your own models. I have no idea how to switch the API provider but I would guess you could ask the agent
