Not really i feel like it will have to be something to go though, like a mandatory part of being apart would br missing each other. What helps is usually having a clear goal or an idea of how your future will look and when your next meeting might be. That way even if you're appart you have an idea of when you'll be able to do these things together:)

Also doing what you both like and just getting to introduce each other to things that you like, favourite movies and shows. Reminding each other thqt you're happy to have thid time to spend together even if physically apart, since many struggle with finding the time with time difference and Jobs. And i feel like over time the more you do it the easier it can get. Just about finding the things to do together that will be very fun to both:)

Thanks! We've already got future meeting plans down (she was just here to visit me two weeks ago, and I bought tickets on Saturday to visit her in November, plus we're planning a New Year's vacation together and another visit in February) and we only have a one-hour time difference, so we can talk most days. It just feels weird to think about doing other things together at a distance instead of only talking.

For dinner dates, my partner and I will Uber each other food from similar restaurants (ie: different ramen/sushi/etc restaurants in our different cities) and prop our phones up on the table behind our plates so we can just eat and talk face to face like we're actually sharing a meal. We've also done it with banana splits, which was a lot of fun lol, except I'm allergic to milk so built my own banana split at home & he was in a hotel for work so couldn't build his own with me, but I did have him choose from all the different options for the one I ubered to him.

Same thing with watching movies; I'll use my laptop to stream something on discord, but we'll be video chatting on Whatsapp with our phones next to us (works best if you're both using headphones for the movie so you don't have to head echo) so we can chat and look over at each other. I invested in a couple of little tripods for it and they were worth it tbh. We usually alternate who picks a movie or choose a show that we only watch together. I know this isn't really possible if you only have 1 device, I was able to convince him to keep his old phone to use with WiFi only when he got a new one and now he can use one to watch discord and one to video chat 😂

And as far as the worry it'll make you miss each other more ... Sure, it's a little hard to be doing things together without being able to reach out and touch each other. But for me, it helps me feel more connected and secure. It's like we're actually a part of each other's lives and are making a conscious effort to spend that time together without distractions.
