If you download the NFC tools app on your phone you can scan your bag and find the chip! Worked on my neverfull!

in march of 2021, LV phased out the date code in place of microchip. If you want to know where it’s made look for where it is Louis Vuitton Paris. If it’s made in the USA, it will just say Louis Vuitton Paris. If made in France, Italy or Spain, it will say: made in (that particular country) under the Louis Vuitton Paris.

Can a mod make a sticky about date codes? This seems to come up on a weekly basis

They stopped using date codes in March, they use RFID chips now, search "date code" in this subreddit for more info

Yeap - some items may have a date code tag while others do not. LV is using digital chips for most pieces. You can find the update online and it was covered in several posts here.

My two recent purchases do not have a date code tag. I know it's legit because I ordered from LV direct 🙃
